Tim and Bob the production duo

The production duo’s real names are Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson but they are better
known in the music world as Tim& Bob. The duo is also sometimes referred as “The
Funktwons”. The American production duo’s biggest hit was “Thong song” by Sisqo. The
main characteristics of the Tim & Bob production is the Asian centered creations and
percussions are based on the drum machine.

The greatest achievement of the duo has been the nomination of the duo for 6 Grammy awards.

However, they won only two of them with Boyz II Men and TLC. The most popular track

Slow Down by Bobby Valentino in his debut album was also under the production

supervision of the duo. They were the Executive Producers of the concerned debut album.

The duo is a refreshing change in the mundane area of same type of music production
as they have incorporated various styles of music and have set trends with various genres
of music like R&B, pop, techno, etc. Their main production works has the names of
various reputed artists like Sisqo’s “Thong Song”, Jon B’s “They Don’t Know”, Tamia’s “So
Into You”, TLC, Monica and many more.

Their albums are hugely popular and the world is
looking forward to their upcoming work with Tyrese, Ginuwine, Shante Moore, Dru Hill
and many others. The duo has signed a publishing deal with DreamWorks. It is also on the
news that they have started a new record label named “Pure Entertainment” mutually
collaborating with Nate Smith. Their debut album for the new production label is Athena
Cage’s “Let Me Know”.
