Eminem and Slim Shady are the stage names of the same great person who was born on
October 17, 1972 with the name Marshall Bruce Mathers III. He won multiple Grammy
awards and an Academic award for her contributions to the world of music. He was the
highest selling musician of the early 20’s era and thus is regarded the highest selling
rapper of the time.
Dr Dre who signed him for his label Aftermath Entertainment
recognized him and his multidirectional versatility. He did a unique job of popularizing the
poetics and lyrics through his verbal energy. Eminem is such a high rated rapper that his
fans sometimes compare him with Elvis Presley. However, GLAAD, the critics, denounced
his lyrical powers violence promoting and his lyrics as “homophobic and misogynist”.
Eminem also spawned the area of acting and acted in a semi-autobiographical movie 8
Mile.
In the year 1995, his debut official tape “Fuckin’ Backstabber/Soul Intent was recorded
that made him confident and the final year he brought out an independent album
“Infinite”. His lyrics started having a darker shade from the songs that followed “Infinite”.
In the album “The Slim Shady EP”, songs like the “No One’s Iller” and “Murder Murder”
had a similar dark tone to the lyrics; the lyrics of Murder Murder talks of the crimes that
are committed to feed his daughter. His distinctive style and his use of underground
scenes brought him attention from all quarters.
After joining in the Aftermath Entertainment he released “Slim Shady LP” in the year 1999
and in the year 2006, December 6 Curtain Call: The Hits. He signed a joint venture with
Shady and Aftermath label and started a movie production company in the name
“Interscope/Shady/Aftermath Films.
