Missy Elliott as a solo artist

Missy Elliott is the unparallel artist of the era and no other female artist could match the
success that she own in the arena of music. Unlike many of the .hip-hop artists Missy
writes her own songs and composes them as well. She is extremely creative, her creations
have a creative demeanor, and her performance has a showmanship that is attractive
to her audiences.

 

Initially she scored for other singers including Aaliyah for songs like
“One In A Million” and “If Your Girl Only Knew”. Her debut album was “Supa Dupa Fly”
that had a number of hit songs like “The Rain”. There are other hits that followed the
success of her debut album like “She’s A Bitch” and Hot Boyz” in the year 1999; “Get Ur
Freak On” and “One Minute Man” in the year 2001 and also “Work It” and “Gossip Folks”
in the year 2002. She is one of those versatile geniuses who defied every stereotype and
without compromising with her fan base.

 

Missy Elliott started her musical career with Jodeci when was signed by Devante for her
group Sista. However, when Sista failed unavoidable reasons, she went to work with
Timbaland and produced Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” which proved a grand success
and kick-start her career. She worked with many renowned artists form the world of music
and later collaborated with Elektra in the year 1996. She impressed her fans with one
tangy number after another.

 

In 1999, her album “Da Real World” brought out two
mammoth hits “She’s A Bitch” and “Hot Boyz”. She also collaborated with Eminem. Later
she debut in television through the advertisements of Gap and Sprite. In 2001 however,
she again created massive hits like “Miss E…So Addictive”, “Get Ur Freak On” and “One
Minute Man”.
