R.Kelly Works With Aaliyah

Robert Sylvester Kelly was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 8th. He is an American songwriter, pop singer, American R&B and a rapper. He entered the world of music as the founder and lead singer of "Public Announcement". He was a versatile personality who could do rap, hip-hop, and could mix soul and funk with equal ease. Kelly was always on the list of controversies because of the sexual references on his songs such as "Bump N' Grind", Feelin' on Yo Booty" and "Ignition", which is a remix.


In the year 1994, he worked with Aaliyah for her debut album "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number". This was his first encounter with Aaliyah. Later there were many occasion when he got the opportunity to work with Aaliyah. R Kelly was impressed by the vocal capability of Aaliyah and thus she was given an opportunity by Kelly to join "Background Enterprise". Her debut album "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number" was composed and produced by Kelly himself that was a huge hit and helped Aaliyah obtain a stand in the music world. The album, a multi platinum hit with numbers such as "Back and Forth", "At Your Best" and "The Thing I Like". However, some controversial rumors fathomed during this time that affected Aaliyah's career. In the year 1996, however, Aaliyah made a come back without Kelly to her side and made the album "One In a Million".


However, there are certain parts of the audience who criticizes Aaliyah's straightforward deliveries and complains that she lacks the personality that is required to be a good performer and that her lyrics are static.
